It’s that time again where I share my #DissertationJourney with you! Since the last time I posted, a quarter has ended and a new one has begun. After receiving approval of my proposal on first review by the University Research Reviewer (URR), I conducted the Oral Defense on May 17th. The presentation went well and I was approved to move forward to the next step. I am now preparing to submit my application to Institutional Review Board to obtain approval to conduct my study. Being at this stage of the dissertation process is a great accomplishment. I will be collecting and analyzing data soon!
This is my birth month and I am ecstatic about the new year approaching! On June 9th, I will begin a new chapter in my life! This past year had many blessings, challenges, delays, denials, and approvals. These things have shaped me into the person I am today. As I embark upon a new year, I reflect on where I am and where I would like to be. Yes, there are things I will have to adjust and incorporate to obtain the goals that I have. I am willing to put in the work – are you? Are you ready for change? If so, make the choice today to do what is needed to produce the change needed. If you must make sacrifices, do so. If you must manage your time more, do that. If you must get some training, do it. Whatever is needed for you to go to the next level – DO IT!
As always, I am excited to share my dissertation journey with you. I ask that you share this blog with someone else. We all are going through some type of journey and this might be the encouragement you or that person need to go a litter further. Let’s encounter this life changing experience together!
