It’s that time again where I share my #DissertationJourney with you! It has been about two months since I have posted. I have completed major steps in my dissertation and I am very excited! Chapters 1 (Introduction) and 2 (Literature Review) have been reviewed and approved by my Chair. I submitted the first draft of Chapter 3 (Research Methods) on Saturday for review and feedback.
Over the last month, there have been many days that I did not feel up to completing dissertation tasks. Many times, I dreaded the challenging requests for finishing a section, reading an article, searching for resources and so forth. ONE day, I made up in my mind to take action so that I could move forward in the dissertation process. When I look back on that ONE day, I see much progress that I have accomplished far beyond the goals I set for myself this dissertation quarter.
Through life’s journey, there will be challenges, obstacles, and hindrances. Of course, “life” will happen. However, it is how we respond to “life” that counts. When those not so good moments in “life” happen; it is okay to pause and catch your breath. The goal is not to stay in life support mode – gain the assistance needed and move forward! Just as it takes ONE “life” happening to halt us, it takes ONE “life” thought, step, action, or decision to thrust us forward. My encouragement to you is to take a moment and choose that ONE thing that will change the course of your life for the better!
As always, I am excited to share my dissertation journey with you. I ask that you share this blog with someone else. We all are going through some type of journey and this might be the encouragement you or that person need to go a litter further. Let’s encounter this life changing experience together!

Scripture Meditation: James 2:18 AMP – But someone may say, “You [claim to] have faith and I have [good] works; show me your [alleged] faith without the works [if you can], and I will show you my faith by my works [that is, by what I do].
